Biblical Ministering
Directions Ministry was founded out of desire to help God’s people. Our belief is that every problem faced in the natural has a spiritual root that can only be addressed through the ministering of God’s word. All Clients are required to first attend a biblical ministering session. Each biblical ministering session is aimed at addressing the Client’s spiritual needs and concerns thereby providing them with a sense of hope to overcome the problems they face in the natural.
Childcare
Direction’s Ministry remembers the smallest victims of domestic violence—our children. We refer our Clients to experienced, qualified child care providers, to ensure our children receive the love and care they need on a regular basis.
Employment/Job Training Assistance
Directions Ministry provides referral assistance to Clients in conjunction with various agencies on employment and job training assistance. Training services are focused not only on identifying potential jobs but also assisting Clients with resume preparation,
proper dress etiquette, and job interviewing skills.
Shelter
Directions Ministry is an oasis of hope, faith, peace, and love for abused women. Our Assessors are sensitive and compassionate people who work with abused women to assess their need for shelter in the Chicagoland area. Directions Ministry is designed to identify the needs
of each Client to ensure an ideal match that is based on the
Client’s need and the shelter requirements.
Food Banks/Depositories
Directions Ministry provides a referral service to area-wide organizations that are focused on feeding the hungry. We contact various food banks and food depositories in an effort to ensure our Client are able to eat each day. Part of this service also includes making
food vouchers available to Clients as needed.
Legal Advocacy
Directions Ministry provides referral assistance to Clients to help them with their legal needs. We contact various legal advocacy groups in an effort to ensure our Clients are
able to receive the legal assistance they require.
Public Health
Directions Ministry provides a referral service to area-wide organizations that are focused on public health services. Directions Ministry is designed to identify the needs of each Client to ensure health care concerns and needs are addressed. We contact various public
health agencies on behalf of our Clients as needed.
Transportation
Directions Ministry, through established voucher programs, refers Clients to various local area transportation providers to assist each Client with their daily,
weekly, and monthly travel needs.
